The Center for Hope of NOVA - Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Eating Disorders
While working in a private practice setting and specializing in Eating Disorders, I found that most of my clients had to travel all over NOVA to get good treatment and spend a lot of money and time, only to find that they still weren't getting the level of care that they needed. The vision came to me that I should create a place where all eating disorder specialists were gathered together to work on providing comprehensive services like you would see in a residential center, but where the clients can still have the opportunity to live life at home. Also, by offering lower cost services, like group therapy, and reduced rate individual sessions, the clients may have a better opportunity to get the amount of care they need.

Do you or someone you know seem to be suffering from an eating disorder?

You are not alone, it is estimated that 8 to 10 million Americans have an eating disorder. While eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness, those seeking help often don't get the type of treatment they need partly due to the high cost of treatment. Inpatient care is costing up to $30,000 per month that is frequently left uncovered by insurance companies. The Center of Hope of Nova is dedicated to making residential treatment a last option. We know recovery is not a straight path, so we offer individualized care for each client, ranging from weekly therapy sessions to all day support. Throughout the course of treatment our team works cohesively by providing meal support, multiple daily group sessions, nutrition counseling and medical care at a reasonable price.

Therapy groups range from psycho-educational to experiential and focus on such topics as self-esteem, substance abuse, sexuality, surviving trauma, family patterns, body image, interpersonal relationships, assertiveness, nutrition, and eating patterns.

Residential treatment of an eating disorder in the US ranges from $500 to $2,000 per day. The Center for Hope of Nova offers comprehensive services "a la carte" so the individual and the treatment team can ascertain which services are most advantageous for the client.

The Center for Hope of Nova is centrally located between Loudoun County and Fairfax County of Northern Virginia.
